WHAT TO EXPECT
WHERE IS THE CHURCH?
Located in the old village section of Rehoboth, the church is located at 139 Bay State Road in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
WHERE DO I PARK?
Parking is available on both sides of the church – a few spaces on Locust Avenue and more in the parking lot to the right of the church entrance. Additional parking is available in the lower lot near the Carpenter Museum, to the right of the main parking lot. Overflow parking is available in the field next to the lower lot.
WHAT IS SERVICE LIKE?
Summer worship begins at 10 am. We blend traditional elements with new ideas. Our goal is to make worship meaningful, relevant and accessible to everyone.
MUST I BE A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH TO PARTAKE IN HOLY COMMUNION?
No! At RCC, we have an open table and everyone is welcome to take communion! For those requiring gluten-free elements, individually wrapped wafers are available.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
No! We look forward to your company whether you are wearing your Sunday best or jeans and a t-shirt. We want you to be comfortable during your visit. It is important to note that the sanctuary is not air conditioned so in the summer you will want to dress accordingly.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR SERVICE?
Church service will begin at the turn of the hour. Arriving ten minutes beforehand will allow you time to park, drop children off in the nursery and get settled in the sanctuary.
WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO DURING SERVICE?
Children are welcome to join you during service! During the summer, our Church School program is on hiatus so children remain in worship. There are coloring pages and activity bags in the entrance to the church, as well as some toys if they need to stretch their legs a little bit during the service. Don’t worry about them making noise! We love to hear it. Seriously.
DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT
My church gives me so much – there is the friendship of the congregation, my friends and neighbors. I am glad they are there and I am happy to see them. The church offers programs and events – new and old – always something happening. Worship with caring friends is a blessing. I enjoy attending Sunday Service. The children enjoy being with Rev. Sarah and Harrison for the children’s sermon and many times, entertain the congregation with their comments.
When my children were young, they enjoyed the children’s service. The minister would choose an object that one of the children brought in and preach a sermon about it on the spur of the moment. All enjoyed hearing what she would say. The church is growing and the children are the future. God bless them. Thank you, Lord, for my church!
